Parkinsons in the Marches Conference

Speech Advance were so honoured to be invited to speak at Parkinson's in the Marches first conference. The Parkinsons in the Marches is an amazing project which aims to provide information and funds to support local people on their Parkinson's journey.
The conference had speakers speak on so many areas and was a thoroughly informative day. Speech Advance spoke about speech therapy input and different therapy types for those with Parkinsons. We even practised some of the 'KEEP LOUD' exercises with the 80 attendees in the room and were beyond impressed with their involvement. We encouraged people to see a speech therapist early. Seeing a speech therapist early when noticing changes will help maintain voices.
