Reading Comprehension and Dysgraphia Study Day

Speech Advance clinicians were lucky enough to attend a study day at Birmingham Library. It was run by the Central Neuro Clincial Excellence Network and was based on Reading Comprehension and Dysgraphia in adults with acquired neurologcial impairments. So many people we see will report changes and difficulites with their reading and writing and many will have specific aims and targets around these concerns. So it was an amazing opportunity to go to the event and to listen and learn from specialist clinicians. OSCE examinations at Birmingham City University

Today Speech Advance spent the day with lecturers at Birmingham City University (BCU) examining first year students completing their OSCE's (Objective Structured Clinical Examinations).  As always the lecturers and clinical educators were so welcoming and supportive to us visiting clinicans and to the students, which made the day so enjoyable. These examinations must be so nerve wrecking for the students but we're happy to say that all the students did well! So a massive well done to them all! Huge congratulations to Mr and Mrs Goldstraw on their marriage. Mr Goldstraw (aka Ryan) has had speech therapy from Speech Advance for a while now and was able to stand up and do his whole grooms speech! We are beyond proud!  Read more >
